For skaters, the usable terrain sounds limited to paved paths, open concrete areas, and general plaza-style space rather than skate-specific obstacles; reviews do mention a "stadium type concrete setup," but not a true street course, bowl, or ramps. The upside is the setting: the park is huge, scenic, and easy to combine with a cruise along the Riverwalk, and several reviewers say it’s especially nice at night thanks to the lighting and skyline views. It looks best for casual rolling, cruising, and pairing a skate session with basketball, bike riding, or just hanging out. Beginners and families seem especially well served by the fenced playground/splash pad areas, shade, restrooms, and lots of open lawn. The main drawbacks are heat and shade: multiple people say there isn’t enough cover, and some note crowded weekends or event closures. If you want a relaxed waterfront place to skate around and enjoy the view, it sounds solid; if you’re looking for technical skate terrain, this probably isn’t it.
