The surface is described as smooth asphalt, and there are metal coping and plenty of transition, so it sounds like a strong spot for progression rather than just one style of skating. The biggest downside is crowding: many people say it gets very busy, with occasional collisions, line-waiting, and parents or younger kids getting in the way. Shade, lighting, and a covered central area help, and night sessions are possible thanks to lights staying on late.
