Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Hawaii
$8/day (non-members); $5 per entry for members (annual membership $40)
Hickam Skate Hangar is a great choice if you want to skate bowls and big transitions, with plenty of ramps for both beginners and experienced skaters. Expect a paid all-day entry and limited hours, plus you’ll need base access to get in.
Base access is required (military/base zone access). Hours were reported as limited/terrible (e.g., 12:00pm–5:00pm; weekends open after noon). Helmets are required. Vending machines are mentioned. BMX access is restricted to certain days (Tues/Thurs). Bicycles are only allowed on certain days.
Skaters consistently praise the park for having lots of ramps and transitions, especially bowls, quarters, and a halfpipe/mini halfpipe, and many say it’s among the best on the island. Reviews are mixed on upkeep and modernization, with some noting old or needing resurfacing while others say everything is rideable and in decent condition. The most common complaints are the admission cost, restricted access/hours, and that street skating is limited compared with the transition/bowl focus.
