Randolph Skate Park is mostly a flat street-style setup with rails and a couple of ledges, but many skaters say the asphalt is so rough it’s hard to build speed or even ride comfortably. If you’re mainly there for a few ledge/rail lines and can tolerate sketchy surface conditions, it can be worth a quick stop—otherwise you may want to look elsewhere.
Multiple reviews describe the park as having rough/unrideable asphalt with only small patches of usable concrete. Several reviewers mention it can be closed/“closed up” at times and that it’s mostly flat/rail/ledge features rather than ramps. One review notes paths are well lit for night walking/jogging; another mentions a covered picnic area but no drinking fountain.
Skaters consistently report that the asphalt surface is extremely rough, cracked, and often described as unskateable, leading to road rash and very limited usable area. Reviews are mixed on the features: some praise a couple of nearly perfect ledges/flat bars and decent rails, while others say there are too few obstacles and that the metal features are not fun to skate. A few visitors also mention the park has a covered picnic area and that the paths are well lit, but overall maintenance and usability are the dominant complaints.
