Nueve Skate Plaza looks like a small, street-style neighborhood park with a limited but useful mix of flat bars, low rails, ledges, quarterpipes, and a quarter/bank for flow. Skaters who like manuals, warm-up lines, or practicing individual tricks will probably get more out of it than people hunting for a big transition park or lots of variety. Reviewers repeatedly call it tiny, cramped, or “hardly a plaza,” but also note that it can be fun, especially when it is empty and quiet. Beginners and younger skaters seem to do well here, while intermediate and advanced skaters use it as a quick practice spot before heading downtown. The surface is not described as perfect: people mention sand on the skate area, metal ramps that feel cheap, and sprinklers that often soak the park. On the non-skate side, the park has bathrooms, water fountains, and a Ramada/covered area, but the restroom area gets bad marks. The biggest complaints are the maintenance and safety issues, plus a lot of negative comments about homeless people, drug use, and sketchy activity around the park.
